I partnered with a former CTO from my previous company to build an identity verification platform that scaled to 500M+ verifications and supported 10,000+ businesses. The platform enabled KYC, address verification, liveness checks, and more.
My Role
As the Founding Designer, I helped shape both the product and the team from the ground up. I:
- Built and structured the design team
- Established design processes and workflows
- Improved communication across engineering, sales, and product
- Ensured design decisions aligned with both user needs and business goals
- Created and maintained a design system to ensure consistency and make collaboration faster and easier across teams
The Core Product: Admin Dashboard
A key part of the system was the admin dashboard, used internally by teams across the company.
It allowed:
- Operations teams to manage and review verifications
- Sales and customer success teams to track progress and support clients
- Leadership to monitor system performance and outcomes
This dashboard became the central hub for managing expectations, resolving issues, and overseeing all verification activities.
What Users Could Verify
The platform supported verification for a wide range of entities, including:
- Individuals (identity, employees, guarantors)
- Physical addresses
- Assets and vehicles
- Businesses

Agent Network & Mobile App
For physical verifications (like addresses, assets, and businesses), we built a distributed agent system.
- Agents were assigned verification tasks
- They used an Android app to complete them
- The app guided users step-by-step to collect accurate evidence
We also opened this system to everyday users, allowing them to earn money by completing verification tasks.
Marketing & Website Experience
We ensured the platform’s capabilities were clearly reflected on the website, helping potential clients:
- Understand available verification services
- Build trust in the system
